The Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission is
encouraging Greater Cincinnati residents to come and give their
input regarding the county’s future at a countywide town meeting.
The meeting will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at the
Music Hall Ballroom from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the
planning session that will prioritize strategies and goals. The
use of wireless computers and wireless keypads will make this a
one-of-a-kind event for planning in the region. The fusion of the
traditional New England Town Meeting and wireless technology
allows citizens from all parts of the county to come together and
develop a unified vision for the county.
The Countywide Town Meeting is the centerpiece of
the public involvement efforts of Community COMPASS, the
Comprehensive Master Plan and Strategies for Hamilton
County. Community COMPASS, the first comprehensive plan for
Hamilton County since 1964, will
identify a vision for Hamilton
County that all can agree on, and will create a strategy for
implementing that vision.
